Thursday Beaver meetings always start with a game of Ship Shore. This Term we are keeping a record of the top three Beavers in each game. At the end of the Term we will award a Trophy for the overall winner. Good Luck Beavers!
ST GEORGE’S DAY PARADE & SERVICE
Thursday & Tuesday Beavers had a great turn out at this year’s St George’s Day Parade and Service. For many it was their first Parade, and the Beavers all looked very smart and walked nicely down to the Service in Onchan Park. Both Colonies produced fantastic Banners for the occasion. Well done Beavers!
BULLDOG
Thursday Beavers have been enjoying some dry and sunny weather and the opportunity to play outdoors. Last year we managed to hold one Beaver Meeting outside, this year (believe it or not) we have had two already. The Beavers have enjoyed playing a ‘fun’ game of Bulldog!
CHIEF SCOUT’S VISIT
Thursday Beavers were so excited about our visit from the Chief Scout – Bear Grylls. We had a fantastic turnout for the 
day and lots of help from parents – thank you! As well as the opportunity to meet their hero, our Beavers were also taking part in JOTT – Jamboree on the Trail. JOTT is an annual day for the World Scout Movement to hike together – towards a better future through 
Scouting! JOTT is held on the second Saturday of May each year. The Beavers walked from Peel Headland to the beach. Once on the beach the Beavers began constructing their sandcastles for the Sandcastle Competition. Thursday Beavers produced two amazing sandcastles – well done boys!
THREE LEGS CHALLENGE
Tuesday Beavers and Thursday Beavers have just completed the 3rd leg of the Three Legs Challenge 2012/13. There was a great turnout of Beavers from both Colonies for the walk from Crosby to Braddan School. The weather was good and the terrain was not too muddy, despite the rain the day before. Lots of mums and dads and dogs joined us for the walk and we completed the challenge in under an hour and a half – a great effort! Well done to Evan W. from the Thursday Colony who has now completed all three legs of the 2012/13 Challenge.
