We are organising a Weekend Camp for all members of the Phoenix and Viper Scout Troops and the Onchan District Explorer Scouts. The camp will run from 19:30 on Friday 10. July to 15:00 on Sunday 12. July 2015 and will be based at Mullin-Ny-Carty Scout Camp Site which is located at the bottom of the Ballamodha Straight and opposite the top entrance to Silverdale Glen.
Everyone will be sleeping in tents and Scouts are welcome to bring their own tents if they wish. We will provide tents to those who don’t have one or hasn’t arranged to share with someone who has.
Activities we have planned so far include: Abseiling, Backwoods Cooking (Including gutting and preparation of fish), River Walk (bring a wetsuit if you have one), Swimming, Wide Games, Axe & Saw Skills, with more to be planned. Everyone if they wish can bring their mountain bikes if they have one.
There are no restrictions on numbers for this camp and we would like to see as many Scouts and Explorer Scouts attend as possible. The cost of the Camp is £30.00, which will include site fees, all meals and activities.
The Permission Form and Camp Fee needs to be returned by no later than Friday 2. July 2015 and can either be brought in to a Scout Meeting night or posted to my address below.
