The Onchan District Explorer Scouts held their Christmas Camp over the 15. – 16. December 2012. The Explorer Scouts spent the day hiking to Eary Cushlin in two groups from both Douglas and near Kirk Michael. At the isolated outdoor centre they were joined by Assistant Island Commissioner for Explorer Scouts Mike Southall, for a full Christmas Dinner laid on by their Leaders. After the meal Mike, was presented with a surprise birthday cake for his 70th birthday, which is in a few days time. After a movie, the Explorer Scouts headed off to bed.
On the Sunday morning the Explorer Scouts were woken up to Bacon and Eggs for breakfast, before gear was packed away and everyone jumped in the minibus to head off home.
